The problem with Aegis is that while it can apply barriers from the lifesteal, it’s simply not statistically practical unless you have upwards of 10 Rejuvenation Racks.
But Aegis is completely useless on REX and does less to help than putting a hole through your monitor. Your Artificer will thank you.Īegis: You might think this is a good idea, others have.
While Kjaro and Runald’s Bands would deal more DPS, Singularity keeps you safer and greatly benefits teammates when applicable. In a perfect scenario Singularity Band procs just after or while Tangling Growth ends, which then allows it to hold the enemies in place during its 5-second duration, which is about enough stalling for Tangling Growth the effective rope the enemies back together again for a third go-around. It can greatly extend the period in which he can hold enemies down, and makes Tangling Growth practically better. Singularity Band: is a wonderful tool for REX. Here are some that I find most often take effect during my runs. These can be both more or less effective depending on the effects. REX’s relationship with many items is very different from other survivors. Tangling Growth is also incredible if paired with any AOE items.
Its 200% damage upon rooting is not very practically useful but the fact you can stop an entire horde of enemies and keep them together to do splash damage (cough cough, Seed Barrage). It shoots a projectile that plants a flower for 8 seconds that roots enemies and sets their movement speed to 0 (making them immobile) and inflicts a debuff. Tangling Growth acts as REX’s anchor in an ironic way. If you have grabbed 5 Elder Lemurians (or the like) with Tangling Growth and get hit by many of their attacks at once, you may jump into the air and stagger them, create distance and regain almost your entire health bar.
Rex risk of rain 2 full#
This works terrifically with Tangling Growth as it will bundle enemies together to be used to hit with Bramble Volley, often resulting in a full heal as you tend to be at 50% HP as REX, but can also be used as a panic button due to its high knockback on both you while in midair and the enemy hit. The real usage of this move comes from the 10% HP restoration per enemy hit. REX spends 20% HP to deal 550% damage and a very wide hitbox. This 0.5-second cooldown lines up perfectly with the end of base attack speed REX’s Inject.īramble Volley is a very interesting ability. You can also take a look at our Risk of Rain 2 guide hub for more info.Seed Barrage as aforementioned takes 15% HP for 450% damage with a 0.5-second cooldown and a proc coefficient of 1.0.
Rex risk of rain 2 how to#
If you’re looking to unlock the other survivors, you can check out our guide for the launch characters, or find out how to get the Loader and the Acrid on those pages respectively. As usual, you should be able to do this challenge on Drizzle difficulty if you want to ease your pain while going for the unlock. A mix of the three is likely for the best, but you can do this with pretty much any character depending on the drops you get. Self-healing is also an option, or you can just go for outright damage and try to kill things before they kill you. You can go for mobility and dodge attacks. You can’t rely on having usable equipment and can’t risk taking much damage, but beyond that you can go any way you like. There isn’t much advice I can give for this except to pick the Risk of Rain 2 survivor you’re best with. Then the Power Plant challenge is complete. REX is standing stationary on one of the higher platforms, and all you need to do to complete the challenge is walk up to it and use the Fuel Array. Once you reach the Abyssal Depths with the Fuel Array in tow, you want to head upwards. Simply use it on REX to complete this challenge and unlock everyone’s favorite plant/robot hybrid. As with the Loader unlock, if you wind up getting Siren’s Call instead (the other possible fourth stage), you might just want to restart rather than do a second loop. You need to make it to the Abyssal Depths, one of the two possible fourth stages. As such, you’re effectively on a half-health run with no usable equipment. Secondly, the Fuel Array will explode and kill you if you drop below around half health. First, the Fuel Array takes up your usable equipment slot, so your Q ability is going to do nothing until you’ve completed this challenge. Once you’ve spawned in on the first level, go around to the back of the Escape Pod and you’ll be able to take off the hatch and pick up the Fuel Array. First, you need to play as any character that starts in an Escape Pod - so no Acrid for you, I’m afraid (unless you’re in multiplayer, at least). The Fuel Array is located in a hatch on the back of the Escape Pod you spawn in.Īs with many of the others, this Risk of Rain 2 challenge is a delightful mix of simple and aggravating.
